Nothing is changed. My day starts the same and ends the same. How can the presence or absence of someone can matter in such a hectic life? That too I never saw her, met her or even know her till that fateful thing happen.
I always wondered what can a dying person leave behind in this world. We all know we can take none of what we have in this world while we die. But what we leave for this world to judge, understand and act is most valuable.
We all saw a GBS effected girl on the death bed who was ready to die to save the financial trouble for her family. We saw a girl who later fought so bravely with death when we all said “Sharmila we are with you”
When she joined the hospital, her family was very small but as the time passed by the family grew only larger and it knew no boundaries. Funds started flowing from all around the world.
But when we really try to understand what she left behind…
She showed me what true bravery is. The time when she wanted to die for the family but again the bravery with which she fought after you people stood beside her.
She showed me what can the so called “people in their mechanical life” can actually spare a moment out of their lives and extend a helping hand towards a person in need.
She showed me the true value of friendship where all her friends so willingly tried to get the contributions and save her. They were with her at every second when she needed it the most.
She showed me what immense satisfaction one can get when we really helps the people in need.
But sadly she left us. But I am sure she will rest in peace knowing what you all did to save her life. All I can ask you is try to extend the same help towards the needy in your life. This is the best tribute that we can pay for Sharmila.
In my next post I will update you about the inflow and outflow of the financials for the treatment of Sharmila.
Sorry and ashamed that we could not save you. I dont know whom to blame. I too made a mistake to support the decision of shifting to the govt hospital but I never thought that would be a fatal decision and make me regret all my life.
But I want to say Thanks to all her friends, family, realtives, my friends who took the initiative and worked for the cause. Without you guys we could have gone at least this far. My friends Shrikanth and Sravanthi, my condolences.
The absence of Sharmila is a void that cannot be filled. I really hoped to see her back to health. She would have been my god given sister. I never talked to her but from my friends I know how fun loving Sharmila is. She has always been the naughty one’s.
In her memory I decided to put some amount of my earning to help the needy and I urge you to do the same. They might not be our family but they need our help and even a small amount you contribute might result in saving a life. For me this is the money well spent.
Sharmila is now in Guntur Govt Hospital. You can see the recent images of her. Sadly she is still on ventilator but the great news is she is recovering. She is so strong a person that when the survival rate in such cases is very low, she showed that with strong will to live its not hard to fight death and come back to the world filled with family and friends but now her family is nothing but bigger than before with new family members who all wished and contributed for her health.
Actually its time we appreciate the friends of Sharmila who actually worked hard to collect contributions when it mattered the most. When my friend Srikanth told me how they worked to save her, I was speechless for a few seconds. I envied her for having such a great friends.
When Sharmila first knew about her condition she didnt wanted to be treated. This is because of her family condition and she didn’t want to burden them with the expenses. But thanks to her family members, friends and you all who brought her back to life.
Any money ever earned can never replace the satisfaction of saving a life.
When it started I felt I was helping someone but now the emotional connection with Sharmila is so strong that I started feeling her as a part of my family from the past few days. So every step of recovery is so important to me and this blog is the medium to share how I feel.
All I can ask is please pray her for health and contribute as much as you can. Please contact me for any queries.
Sharmila is on her way to Govt hospital in Guntur. We took this decision beacuse the government hospital in Guntur has all the facilities that were provided to Sharmila in Trust hospital and the amount paid to ICU will be saved. She is out of danger but cannot move any part of the body. So the treatment is still under progress.
Will upload the remaining bills scanned copies paid to Trust hospitals in the next post.
Pray for the fast recovery of Sharmila
“With all the well wishing hearts around even a person in the verge of death will survive”
This is again proved right by all of you my friends. Your prayers, contributions has worked and we are in process of achieving the miracle of bring someone back to life.
When I thought of helping Sharmila I never even dreamed of getting such a huge support from you all. Some worked for their family member, some worked for their friend, some worked for a complete stranger but we worked and made it work. This made us all one big family of Sharmila’s. She is the angel of my life to show me how people are and how they react about a fellow human being.
Coming to her health condition, the second round of Immunoglobins vaccines is completed. So the next few days doctors will check the reaction of these vaccines on the body. The treating doctor of Sharmila first time gave an assurance that the life threatening situation no more exists. Thanks to all you people. Hopefully she will be free of ventilator in a week or 10 days.
But guys the journey doesn’t end here. We still have a long way to go. It takes at least 3 to 6 months for her to fully recover. So we need all your blessings and financial support. Keep this spirit going.
